Everybody's talking about...
Everybody's talking about the biggest books in the media, those that inspired the films currently in the cinema, and the tie-ins from all the latest TV and radio.
Narrated by David Attenborough, with never-before-filmed animal behaviour and emotional story telling, Life is BBC1's landmark natural history programme for 2009 and the companion book is equally stunning and unmissable. Also from TV there's Charlaine Harris' True Blood, The Pocket Book of Boosh and the brand new QI Annual 2010.
In the cinema we have the Nick Hornby-scripted An Education, the Pixar film that critics are calling a masterpiece, Up, and then from the hands of leftfield director Wes Anderson (Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums), there's the stop-animation adaptation of Roald Dhal's Fantastic Mr Fox.
In other news Ricky Gervais introduces his all-new Flanimals Pop-up, Peter Hook of Joy Division and New Order brings us his slant on the Manchester club he co-owned, in The Hacienda: How Not to Run a Club, Andrew Marr's Making of Modern Britain is not to be missed and finally, check out the hilarious new Twilight parody, New Moan.
